Kevin Esau – President

Kevin has been developing and supporting accounting solutions since 1990, a perfect fit that brought together his accounting background and IT training in accounting. From business process documentation to custom application design, he brings Chief Information Officer expertise to our clients. He supports our clients to make their businesses run more efficiently using improved business processes and optimizing the use of technology.

Kevin has been involved with the computer industry all of his life. His first development project was a music application that was sold to the school board where he attended. Kevin has combined his love of computers with a business/accounting education. This allows him to understand the business needs and how the information must be integrated into Enterprise Resource Management systems. Kevin has worked for many large organizations and the projects have taken him to numerous countries on this side of the globe. Kevin has enjoyed building the Contego team from the ground up.

Scott Michael – Vice President Business Solutions

Scott is a Senior Manager with over 28 years’ experience in the Information Technology industry designing, developing, and implementing business-critical systems across a wide range of industries and platforms.  In the mid 90’s Scott was involved in the management of the implementation and roll out of SAP along with a new communication and document management system for a large international transportation company.  This experience led him to advance his skills in ERP Software Solutions and extending their functionality and develop integrations with external systems.

Scott was one of the founding partners in SSL Solutions Inc. in 2005 and was instrumental in bringing SSL into the Contego Group in 2018.  Over the course of his career Scott has created a name for himself as an expert problem solver and has a reputation for delivering client-focused service that provide quality results.

Arnold Janzen – Vice President

Arnold started his IT career as a mainframe programmer, analyst and DBA. Soon after he became involved with geographic information system (GIS) projects and saw the tremendous benefit in visualizing spatially connected data. Using these concepts he partnered with a small team to develop and bring to market a GIS enabled seismic data management system which is still a thriving product across North America. Arnold’s specialty has been data analysis, migration and integration and helping clients gain the full value from their data to make informed business decisions. Arnold has been a driver behind our tablet and smartphone projects.  A specialty of Arnold’s is to envision, design, build and bring to market, software products that are beneficial to our customers.

As part of the management team, Arnold enjoys building the Contego team and brand to meet the ever-changing business needs of our diverse range of customers who rely on us to help them adapt to an evolving and fluid business environment.
